Bell County pulled off one of its biggest wins in program history by stunning 49th District champion North Laurel with a five-set win.
The Lady Bobcats (24-9) dropped the first set 25-23 before evening things at one apiece with a 25-23 win in the second set.
The Lady Jaguars (24-13) took a 2-1 advantage in the third set with a 25-17 victory while Bell County rallied and won the final two sets, 25-18, and 15-12, respectively.
The Lady Bobcats will now face off against 50th District champion Whitley County on Wednesday during semifinal play at 6 p.m.
The Lady Colonels won their earlier first round matchup, 3-0, against Pineville.
Bell County and Whitley County haven’t faced each other this season.
