One more win to go to capture No. 6 in a row for Vanessa Ross’ Corbin Lady Redhound volleyball team.
Corbin (21-10) advanced to Thursday’s 13th Region title game with a three-set win over Jackson County.
The Lady Redhounds will face-off against 50th District champion Whitley County with the winner moving on to State Tournament play.
Corbin has won five straight regional titles but to capture a sixth crown in a row, the Lady Redhounds will have to figure out a way to beat a team that’s been a thorn in their side this season.
The two teams have met four times with both teams winning two games apiece. The Lady Colonels won the last meeting in four sets during last week’s 50th District title game.
Corbin cruised to an easy win against the Lady Generals on Wednesday, winning 25-16, 25-13, and 25-19 while Whitley County defeated Bell County in three sets.
