WEEK 11 WRAP-UP: South Laurel caps season off with a win over Grant County; Colonels and Tigers pick up wins as well

South Laurel 39, Grant County 16

The Cardinals ended their season with an impressive 39-16 win at home over Grant County.

South Laurel finishes the 2022 campaign with a 2-8 mark.

Whitley County 54, Danville 0

The Colonels hooked up in an old-fashioned shootout with Danville and won, 54-50.

Whitley County is now 3-7 on the season and still awaits to see who it will play next week during first round action of the Class 5A playoffs.

Clay County 27, Garrard County 20

The Tigers keep in rolling.

Clay County jumped out to a 14-0 lead before holding off homestanding Garrard County to win, 27-20.

Michael Sizemore’s squad finished the regular season with a 7-3 mark. The Tigers will travel to play Wayne County during Friday’s first round action of the Class 4A playoffs.

McCreary Central 48, Lynn Camp 0

The Wildcats (2-8) finished regular season play with a 48-0 road loss to McCreary Central.

Lynn Camp will travel to play Pikeville during Friday’s first round action of the Class A playoffs.

Trimble County 58, Jackson County 0

The Generals finished their season with an 0-10 record after falling to Trimble County on Friday.

Leslie County 21, Harlan 18

The Green Dragons fell to 7-3 after losing a close battle with Leslie County on Friday, 21-18.

Harlan will host Sayre during first round action of the Class A playoffs next Friday.

The two teams played on Sept. 23 with Harlan coming away with a 50-42 win.
