Tom Greer’s Corbin Redhounds locked up Class 4A’s No. 1 seed on Friday night after cursing past Campbell County with a 42-0 win.
The Redhounds capped off a second straight perfect 10-0 regular season while outscoring their opponents, 191-0, during their past four games.
Corbin, whose RPI is .75319, will play host at Campbell Field as long as the Redhounds win each week all the way up to the Class 4A State Championship.
“Campbell Field’s magic is awesome and it would be nice to be close to home, but playing on Friday at home or away is our goal — just to be playing on Dec 2nd,” Greer said. “
Defending state champion Boyle County (8-2) is the No. 2 seed with an RPI rating of .68600 while Lexington Catholic (8-2) is the No. 3 seed (.68552), and Warren East (10-0) is the No. 4 seed (.66384).
Corbin will host Harlan County (4-6) Friday during first round action of the Class 4A playoffs.
