The Corbin Redhound freshmen team captured the Bluegrass Conference championship by defeating Great Crossing this past weekend, 36-14.
Corbin jumped out early, and never looked back during its win.
Can Estep’s touchdown pass to Evan Taylor started the scoring while BJ Jackson added the two-point conversion to give the Redhounds an 8-0 lead.
Great Crossing tied the game at eight apiece to begin the second quarter before another touchdown pass from Estep and a rushing touchdown by Jackson gave the Redhounds a 24-14 lead at halftime.
Jackson’s second touchdown combined with Cole Steven’s eight-yard touchdown run gave Corbin a 36-14 lead.
