Bell County was all business during its 53-7 rout of Powell County on Log Mountain Friday.
The Bobcats’ ground game dominated once again as Bell County improved to 9-2 overall, and 69-32 overall in postseason play.
Daniel Thomas and Dustin Woolum continued to dominate as the duo combined for four touchdowns in the the game.
Woolum started things off with a five-yard touchdown run before Blake Burnett hit George Pace with a 14-yard touchdown pass, giving the Bobcats a 16-0 lead.
Thomas took over after that, adding touchdown runs of 24, 26, and 28 yards, allowing Bell County to take a commanding 38-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Ethan Raby’s 28-yard touchdown run with 8:25 remaining in the third quarter increased the Bobcats’ lead to 45-0.
Bell County wrapped up the win to advance to Friday’s second round action.
