Green Dragons’ season comes to an end with 43-8 loss to Pikeville

Harlan’s impressive season came to an end on Friday during second round action of the Class 2A playoffs, falling to defending champion Pikeville, 43-8.

The Green Dragons hung tough for a while before the Panthers’ offense woke up and scored 36 first half points.

Pikeville put the game away with seven points in the second half, securing the 35-point win.

Harlan finished the season with an 8-4 record. The Green Dragons are now 15-29 in postseason play while falling to 2-14 all-time against Pikeville.
