The 13th Region has one team standing in the KHSAA playoff picture in Class 3A with Bell County.
The Bobcats have answered challenge after challenge so far this season but things get even tougher this week in regional finals play.
Bell County will enter its matchup at home Friday as the favorite, according to the KHSAA’s RPI ratings.
The Bobcats will face off against Ashland Blazer. The two teams have met seven times with the Tomcats leading the series, 4-3.
Ashland Blazer won matchups in 1982 (31-6), 1990 (19-14), 2000 (48-28), and 2020 (35-0).
Bell County defeated the Tomcats in 1999 (41-7), 2002 (14-12), and 2004 (13-3).
