1. Kallie Housley, Corbin, Jr., G, 5-7
Housley established herself as one of the best players in the region last season when she took over at times leading Corbin to the 13th Region title. This season, she is the best player in the region entering the 2022-23 campaign.
Housley averaged a team-best 15.4 scoring averaged and tied with Raegan Walker for team-best in rebounds per game with 4.8.
2. Emily Sizemore, North Laurel, Sr., 5-7
Sizemore is as tough as they come. She can do it all — top-notch scorer and rebounder.
She averaged 14.7 points, and a team-best 8.5 rebounds per game last season.
3. Halle Collins, Knox Central, Soph., F, 5-11
Collins turned in an impressive freshman campaign after returning from a season-ending injury from the year before. Not only can she do damage scoring with the ball but she can rebound with the best of them, too.
Collins averaged a team-best 19.2 points, and 9.3 rebounds per game.
4. Gracie Jo Wilder, Bell County, Jr., F, 6-1
Wilder is very athletic and can score from anywhere on the court. Very versatile player.
She averaged a team-best 15.6 points, and 9.2 rebounds per game last season.
5. Darcie Anderson, Corbin, Jr., G, 5-9
Many believe Anderson is underrated at the No. 5 spot, and they could be right. She can be the floor general or the player that knocks down the game-winning shot. She’s also solid on defense, too.
Anderson averaged 12.1 points, and 3.3 rebounds per game last season.
6. Nadine Johnson, Pineville, Jr., G, 5-7
One of the best defenders in the region. She’s also a great ballhandler, who has a knack for scoring.
Johnson averaged 13.2 points per game at Bell County along with a 5.4 rebounding average.
7. Brooke Nichelson, North Laurel, Soph., G, 5-10
Nicholson is the best defensive player in the 13th Region. Her motor never quits on both ends of the court.
Due to an injury, Nichelson only played 14 games last season but averaged 13.1 points per game, and 3.2 rebounds per game.
8. Abby Gilbert, Jackson County, Soph., F, 6-2
Gilbert turned plenty of heads last season, and established herself as one of the best in the area.
She averaged a double-double last season, leading the Lady Generals in points scored (14.0), and rebounds per game (10.2).
9. Kylie Noe, Harlan, Soph., F, 5-8
Noe knows how to score and can grab a rebound with the best of them. Look for a big season out of her. She has the talent to move up in the player rankings as the season progresses.
Now averaged a team-best 18.0 points per game last season. She also pulled down 7.3 rebounds per game.
10. Ella Karst, Harlan County, Jr., G, 5-3,
Karst established herself as one of the best scorers in the region last season. We expect her to be even better during 2022-23.
She averaged 16.4 points, and 3.3 rebounds per game last season.
