STILL PERFECT: Short-handed Clay County finds a way during 53-51 road win over McCreary Central 

The Clay County Lady Tigers went on the road Friday, and managed to come away with a big road win.
The Lady Tigers (2-0) were without the services of Julia Collins (illness), and Daisy Samples (ankle injury) but still managed to pull out a 53-51 victory over McCreary Central.
Clay County’s built a 15-9 lead in the first quarter while leading 27-21 at halftime. The Lady Tigers’ lead grew to 44-37 entering the fourth quarter before they held off a late rally by the Lady Raiders.
Mackenzie Sizemore turned in a 11-point, 13-rebound, and three-assist effort while Sydney Jones finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Jaylen Combs had 14 points, four assists, two steals, and two rebounds in the win. Lauryn Sizemore scored 10 points, and finished with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Clay County shot 18-of-48 from the floor, including a 7-of-24 effort from 3-point range. The Lady Tigers hit 10-of-18 free throw attempts while 11 assists, and nine steals.
