Harlan County got back on track Saturday with a 63-33 road win over Clay County.
Taytum Griffin hit four 3-pointers and scored 17 points in the win while Ella Karst scored 11 points, and Kylie Jones added eight points.
Mackenzie Sizemore scored 14 points for Clay County while Lauryn Sizemore added six points for the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Black Bears took control of the game early, building a 16-9 lead in the first quarter behind Karst’s seven points, and Griffin’s six points.
Harlan County’s lead grew to 29-12 at halftime after the Lady Black Bears outscored Clay County, 13-3, in the second quarter.
Griffin scored four points while Jones added three points in the quarter for Harlan County.
The Lady Black Bears put the game away with 18 points in the third quarter. They hit 6-of-7 from the charity stripe during the period while Griffin scored six points, and Jones added five points.
