Ella Karst continues her impressive play by scoring 25 points while hitting three 3-pointers during Harlan County’s 59-43 win over Leslie County.
Karst started the game red-hot, hitting two 3-pointers while scoring eight points in the first quarter. She added 10 more points in the second quarter while hitting another long range bomb.
Taytum Griffin, and Jaylin Smith each scored nine points apiece while Hailey Austin added eight points, and Paige Phillips finished with four points.
The game was tied at 12 apiece entering the second quarter before Karst’s 10 points pushed the Lady Black Bears ahead, 33-23.
Harlan County outscored the Lady Eagles, 26-20, the remainder of the game to improve to 5-1 while capturing its fourth straight win in a row.
The Lady Black Bears will be back in action at home Tuesday in a key 52nd District showdown with Bell County.
