Harlan turned in one of the best efforts of this year’s WYMT Mountain Classic by dominating Breathitt County during its 75-56 semifinal win on Friday.
The win advances the unbeaten Green Dragons (4-0) to Saturday’s title game.
Harlan jumped out on the Bobcats from the get-go, building a 20-9 lead at the end of the first quarter while holding a comfortable 45-20 cushion at halftime.
It was all cruise control the remainder of the game for the Green Dragons, despite Breathitt County outscoring them, 36-30, in the second half.
Kyler McLendon led Harlan with four 3-pointers, and 25 points while Jaedyn Gist scored 24 points, and finished with four 3-pointers. Will Austin added 14 points while Kaleb McLendon finished with 11 points.
