Nadine Johnson poured in a 21-point scoring effort while teammates Ava Arnett (15 points), Rachel Howard (13 points), and Abby Jackson (12 points) scored in double figures as well to help guide Pineville to a 63-41 win over Boyle County during the Saturday’s Inaugural Lisa Collins Classic.
The win, the Lady Mountains Lions’ fourth in a row, improved Elgie Green’s squad to 4-1 on the season.
Johnson scored seven points while Arnett hit a 3-pointer to give Pineville a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Johnson added eight points while Jackson hit a 3-pointer while scoring five points to push the Lady Mountain Lions’ advantage to 34-23 at halftime.
Jackson added seven points in the third quarter while Pineville limited the Lady Rebels to only eight points, allowing the Lady Mountain Lions to extend their lead to 46-31 entering the fourth quarter.
Arnett’s seven-point output in the fourth quarter combined with Howard’s six points allowed Pineville to secure the 22-point victory.
Pineville will be back in action Monday with a road matchup against Thomas Walker, Va.
