A slow start didn’t deter Knox Central from taking care of the job at hand on Monday.
The Lady Panthers improved to a perfect 5-0 while capturing their first 51st District win of the season by defeating Barbourville, 77-33.
Led by sophomore Halle Collins’ 35 points, and 15 rebounds, Knox Central built an early 16-11 lead, and outscored its opponent, 61-22 the remainder of the game.
Timberly Frederick added 14 points while hitting two 3-pointers, as eleven players scored for the Lady Panthers.
Danni Jordan led Barbourville (1-2) with 11 points while Layla Brock finished with nine points, and Sarah Smith added eight points.
