Bell County wrestling captures first place honors in Taylor Family Chiropractic Rumble

Bell County wrestling captured first place honors in Taylor Family Chiropractic Rumble this past weekend.

“Ethan Raby was named one of the two most outstanding male wrestlers,” Bell County coach Ovie Canady said. “Jordan Muncy and Madyson Helton got the awards for the girls. Those were voted on by the coaches. We had several medalists, some were champions.  

“Girls 107 champion was Shelby Collins. Girls 114 Champion was Jordan Muncy,” he added. “Girls 126 Champion was Alexis Holman. Girls 138 second place was Hannah Fetters. Girls 144 champion was Milka Woodring.  Girls 144 third place was Grace Helton. Girls 152 Champ was Madyson Helton. McKenzie Webb finished third at 152. Rebecca Sowders got her first pin tonight and won 3rd at 165 in the girls.  120 Champ for boys was Matt Dowlin.  126 Runner Up Matt Howard. 132 Champion was Isaiah Troutman. 150 Runner up was Hayden Canady. 157 Runner up was Johanan Woodring. 190 Champ was Ethan Raby. 

“I’m very proud of how our kids continue to grow in wrestling and in character,” he added. “They are working hard day in and day out and will only get better from here.”

Corbin placed second overall while Whitley County finished fourth.
