Tigers keep the momentum, cruise past Jackson City, 63-30

Barbourville ran its win streak to two games, and o stall record to 4-2 after recording a 63-30 win over Jackson City on Friday. 

The Tigers built a 27-4 lead in the first quarter, and never looked back.

Chris Taylor’s squad was led by Travis Scott’s 15-point scoring effort while Matt Warren finished with 14 points. Ty Clark added 11 points while Jake Lundy scored six points. Ian Middleton, and Riley Corey each scored five points apiece.

Scott scored 13 points in the first quarter to help Barbourville build a 23-point cushion while 3-pointers by  Ethan Fischer, and Corey, combined with Clark’s four points pushed the Tigers’ advantage to 41-14 at halftime.

Warren’s eight points in the third quarter allowed Barbourville to wrapup its win. 

The Tigers will be back in action Saturday against Williiamsburg during Bell County’s Pride of the Mountains Basketball Showcase at 5:30 p.m.
