Tigers drop second straight with 60-54 loss

Barbourville recorded its first consecutive losses this season after falling to Wayne County in Tuesday’s Arby Classic, 60-54.

The Tigers fall to 5-4 overall, and 0-2 in the Arby’s Classic. 

Chris Taylor’s squad built a 32-29 advantage in the first half before seeing the Cardinals take control of the game by outscoring Barbourville, 31-22, in the second half.

Kendall Phillips led Wayne County with 24 points while teammate Seth Farmer turned in a 13-point effort.

The Tigers’ Travis Scott led the way for his team, scoring 27 points while draining three 3-pointers 

Matt Warren added 15 points while finished with six points.
