Bell County posts 1-1 mark in Wayne County’s Lady Cardinal Classic

David Teague’s Bell County Lady Bobcats posted a 1-1 mark during their stay in Wayne County’s Lady Cardinal Classic.
Bell County (6-2) dropped a 74-61 decision to Pulaski County on Wednesday before defeating Hart County a 73-45 loss on Thursday.

“The Pulaski County game was good for us,” Teague said. “They are one of the top teams in the 12th Region. We led for a lot of the game but had too many turnovers and missed free-throws. Hopefully a game like that is one we can learn from moving forward.

“The Hart County game I thought we played very well,” he added. “We shot the ball really well and had some young kids step up and do some good things. Playing in the tourneys are good for our team. It gives us a chance to play quality opponents that we normally don’t get to see.”
