The Jackson County Generals posted a 2-1 mark in this week’s Berea Holiday Classic, capturing third place honors by defeating Model on Thursday, 77-65.
The Generals’ lone loss came to Cumberland County (79-65) on Wednesday.
Thursday’s Game

The Generals captured third place honors in the Berea Classic after upending Model, 77-65.
The game was right at halftime as Jackson County held a slim, 36-34, lead. But the Generals outscored the Patriots, 41-31, in the second half to get the win.
Tydus Summers led the way with 18 points while Carter Cunagin scored 15 points. Keagan Ward scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter while Peyton Singleton finished with nine points.
Wednesday’s Game
Cumberland County 79, Jackson County 65
The Generals fell behind 42-31 at halftime, and never recovered despite scoring 25 points in the fourth quarter of their, 79-65, loss to Cumberland County.
Jameson Marcum hit four 3-pointers, and scored 18 points to lead Jackson County while Tydus Summers followed with 12 points, and Jude Lakes finished with 11 points.
