North Laurel senior Reed Sheppard helped guide the Jaguars to a 2-2 mark this oasis week in the City of the Palms Classic, and he also showed why he is considered as one of the best players in the nation during his team’s four-game stay.
Sheppard was the only player ranked in the top five in each of the following categories: scoring, steals, assists, and rebounding.
His 22.5 scoring average ranked third overall while his 4.3 steals per game average ranked No. 1. Sheppard also ranked second overall with 6.25 assists per game while placing third with a 9.8 rebounding average.
He will attempt to continue to put up eye-popping numbers this upcoming week when North Laurel participates in Lexington Catholic’s White, Greer, and Maggard Holiday Classic.
Sheppard is currently averaging 23.6 points per game along with an 8.5 rebounds per game average.
