Tigers put defensive clamps on Grace Christian Academy during 55-36 win

Matt Warren’s 23-point scoring effort paved the way for Barbourville’s 55-36 win over Tennessee’s Grace Christian Academy during first round action of Wednesday’s Bill Perkins Classic.

Warren drained five 3-pointers while doing all of his damage during the first three quarters of play.

Travis Scott hit three 3-pointers while adding 14 points. Jake Lundy, Bryce Messer, and Eathan Fisher each scored four points while Riley Corey, and Jacob Collins added three points apiece. Ty Clark turned in a two-point scoring effort.

The Tigers turned in a stellar defensive effort allowing only nine first half points while leading 39-9 at halftime.

Their lead grew to 53-17 after the third quarter before they put the finishing touches on their win in the fourth quarter.
