Jackson County’s six-game win streak snapped; falls to Perry Central, 62-58

Jackson County currently holds a 1-1 mark in the Berea Classic after defeating Dunbar, 61-38, on Tuesday before falling to Perry Central, 62-58, on Wednesday. 

Wednesday’s Game

Perry Central 62, Jackson County 58

The Lady Generals’ six-game winning streak was snapped after they dropped a 62-58 decision to Perry Central.

Jackson County attempted to rally but fell short after trailing 12-7 at the end of the first quarter, 28-22 at halftime, and 43-37 at the end of the third quarter.

Abby Gilbert led the Lady Generals with 17 points while Kenady Ward finished with 16 points. Kylee Shannon also scored in double figures with 12 points. 

Tuesday’s Game

Jackson County 61, Dunbar 38

The Lady Generals ran their win streak to six games after defeating Dunbar, 61-38, during first round action of the Berea Classic.

Jackson County led 31-20 at halftime before outscoring the Lady Bulldogs, 30-18, in the second half.

Kenady Ward scored 19 points while Abby Gilbert followed with 17 points. Adycin Truett added six points while Maddie Curry, Kylee Shannon, and Madi Marcum each scored five points apiece.
