Collins scores 26 during Lady Panthers’ first loss of the season

After reeling off two straight wins in the Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout the past two days, Knox Central saw its perfect season come to an end after losing a 63-61 decision in overtime to Florida’s Ridgeview High School. 

The Lady Panthers (9-1) trailed, 30-25, at halftime but outscored their opponents, 12-7, to make the score 37-all entering the fourth quarter.

Both teams failed to take charge in the fourth quarter before seeing Ridgeview pull outscore Knox Central, 12-10, in overtime.

Sophomore Halle Collins continued her impressive play, scoring 26 points, pulling down 12 boards, and finishing with five assists while drilling 12-of-14 free throw attempts. Timberly Frederick scored 17 points while hitting four 3-pointers. Reagan Jones, and Emily Mills each finished with six points apiece.
