Lady Panthers drop second straight, fall to White County, Tenn., 61-46

Knox Central finished its play in the Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout on Friday, and dropped a 61-46 decision to Tennessee’s White County High School.

Sophomore Halle Collins, who was named to the All-Tournament team, tossed in 28 points along with White County’s N. Powers, who also had 28 points.

The Lady Panthers (9-2) had a successful holiday trip, going 2-2 during their stay in the Sunshine State.

Knox Central couldn’t get much going offensively during the first half, falling behind 34-15 while Collins was held to eight points.

She got hot in the second half, scoring 20 points, including 13 points in the third quarter but the damage had already been done.

Jaylyn Fain, and Kelsie Smith scored five points apiece while Timberly Frederick, and Reagan Jones each added three points apiece. Hannah Melton added two points.
