Only four players scored for Harlan during Thursday’s semifinal 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament matchup against Barbourville, but the scoring the Lady Green Dragons did receive was enough to advance them to Friday’s title game.
A 26-point scoring effort from Aymanni Wynn combined with 22 points from Kylie Noe, 11 points from Emma Owens, and nine points by Leah Davis allowed Harlan to defeat the Lady Tigers, 68-30.
The Lady Green Dragons (6-7) jumped out to a 27-8 lead in the first quarter behind Wynn’s 12 points, and Noe’s 10-point scoring effort, and they never looked back.
Wynn, and Owens each scored eight points apiece in the second quarter while Jones added seven points, pushing Harlan’s advantage to 50-17 at halftime. Noe scored 10 points in the third quarter while exempting the Lady Green Dragons’ edge to 68-25.
Layla Brock led Barbourville (2-7) with nine points while Danni Jordan added eight points. Sarah Smith finished with a six-point scoring output.
