Harlan’s first game ranked as the top team in the 13th Region turned out to be an easy win, as the Green Dragons hit the 90-point plateau for the second consecutive game, defeating Knox Central, 95-48.
The win improved Harlan to 12-2 overall while the Panthers fell to 0-14.
The Green Dragons led throughout, dominating Knox Central in the first quarter by building a 34-12 advantage.
Harlan’s lead was 50-34 at halftime, and 79-38, entering the fourth quarter. The Green Dragons outscored the Panthers, 17-10, in the fourth quarter.
Kyler McLendon the way with seven 3-pointers, and 28 points while Jaedyn Gist also had 28 points with 17 of those coming in the third quarter.
Kaleb McLendon scored 15 points while nailing three 3-pointers. Will Austin finished with 11 points while Connor Daniels added five points, and Dylan Cox scored four points, hitting all four of his free throw attempts.
Austin Bargo led Knox Central with 11 points while Evan Hobbs finished with 10 points.
