Only five players scored in Harlan County’s matchup against St. Henry during Saturday’s Raymond Reed Classic, but it proved to be enough as the Black Bears notched their fifth win in a row by rolling to a 75-65 win over St. Henry.
The Black Bears (12-3) knocked down 11 3-pointers as Trent Noah’s 20 points led the way. Maddox Huff added 18 points while Daniel Carmical scored all 15 of his points in the first half. Jonah Swanner added 13 points, and Jaycee Carter finished with nine points.
Harlan County led 19-16 after the first quarter as Noah hit a 3-pointer, and scored five points while Huff, and Carmical each contributed a 3-pointer apiece.
The Black Bears knocked down five 3-pointers in the second quarter while building a 46-33 lead at halftime. Carmical scored 12 points in the period while Huff added eight points.
Noah nailed three 3-pointers, and scored nine points in the third quarter while Huff also hit a 3-pointer ad Harlan County’s lead was cut to 62-56 entering the fourth quarter.
The Black Bears outscored St. Henry, 13-9, in the fourth quarter to get the win.
