Harlan County broke open a tight game against Lynn Camp by using a 13-0 run before halftime to pull away, and defeat the Lady Wildcats, 72-45.
The win improved the Lady Black Bears to 12-4 while Lynn Camp fell to 3-11.
“We played well early in tonight’s contest by moving the ball and hitting some shots early in the game,” Lynn Camp coach Josh Mobley said. “Throughout the game, our defensive rotations and help defense was well at times. Their 13-0 run before halftime hurt us also. We definitely did not take care of the ball well at all throughout the whole contest. We also didn’t control the glass at all, and got punished with rebounding throughout this contest as well. Quick turnaround to get ready for another home contest tomorrow night against Bell County.”
Nine players scored in the win for the Lady Black Bears with Ella Karst leading the way with 18 points while Hailey Austin contributed 16 points. Jaylin Smith added 10 points in the win.
Abby Mabe led Lynn Camp with 16 points while Alissa Crumpler scored eight points.
