Bell County moved one step closer to the 52nd District’s top seed by defeating Harlan on Thursday, 77-46.
Once again the Lady Bobcats were led by Gracie Jo Wilder, who scored more than 30 points for the third time in the last four games.
Her 33-point output against the Lady Green Dragons led the way while she also finished with three 3-pointers.
Mataya Ausmus, and Lauren McGeorge finished with 15 points apiece as Ausmus hit four 3-pointers while McGeorge nailed five shot from behind the arc. Bell County (15-4 overall, 3-0 vs. 52nd District opponents) finished the contest with 12 3-pointers.
Kylie Noe led Harlan (7-10, 2-1) with 18 points while Aymanni Wynn finished with nine points. Emma Owens turned in an eight-point scoring effort.
The Lady Bobcats took control of the game out of the gate, building a 24-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, and a 43-24 advantage at halftime.
Bell County’s lead grew to 69-38 entering the fourth quarter.
