MAKING HISTORY: Bell County’s Dawson Woolum becomes Bobcats’ career leader in points scored with 1,732

Bell County’s Dawson Woolum made history during his team’s game against Harlan County.

Woolum’s 27-point scoring effort against the Black Bears made him the career leader in points scored for the Bobcat basketball program.

His 1,732 points surpassed former all-time leader Cameron Burnett.

“I’m really happy for Dawson, he has been a pleasure to coach over the last four years,” Bell County coach Brad Sizemore said. “He is a great leader for us and one of the best shooters I’ve had the opportunity to work with. Dawson has been a huge part of the team success we have been able to have over the last couple seasons. I’m excited for him and his family on this huge accomplishment.”
