Landon Dezarn’s 17-point scoring effort, combined with Aiden Wagers’ 16 points played a big part in Clay County’s 85-58 win over Oneida Baptist on Thursday.
The win improved the Tigers to 8-8 overall, and 4-1 against 49th District opponents.
Clay County took control of the game early, building a 26-6 lead over the Mountaineers (7-11, 2-5) before taking a commanding 60-19 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
Hayden Harris added 13 points for the Tigers while Ethan Jackson had nine points, and Elijah Bundy finished with eight points.
Canaan Tyre led Oneida Baptist with a game-high 20 points while Daniel Etokwudo finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Skyler Roberts finished with 10 points.
