Harlan’s high octane offense torched the nets for a season-beat 100 points during the Green Dragons’ 100-51 rout of Middlesboro on Friday.
Derrick Akal’s squad now has scored at least 80 points 10 times this season while reaching the 90-point plateau four times.
When the Green Dragons weren’t slamming home easy baskets, they were nailing 3-pointers, finishing with a season-best 22.
Harlan improved to 18-2 overall, and remains unbeaten against regional opponents (9-0), and 52nd District foes (3-0).
Kaleb McLendon finished with 29 points, and seven 3-pointers while Jae’Dyn Gist scored 25 points, and nailed three 3-pointers. Kyler McLendon scored 16 points, and hit four 3-pointers while Will Austin added 12 points.
The Green Dragons led 62-28 at halftime, and outscored Middlesboro, 38-23, in the second half.
Jeremiah Beck led the Yellow Jackets (4-14 overall, 0-3 vs. 52nd District opponents) with 18 points while Trey King finished with 11 points.
