The duo of Timberly Frederick, and Halle Collins were hard to contain during Tuesday’s matchup between Knox Central, and Pineville.
The two teams wanted to keep their chances of grabbing the 51st District’s No. 1 seed alive, and the Lady Panthers accomplished the feat, cursing past the Lady Mountain Lions, 67-48.
Pineville had no answer for Knox Central’s duo of Frederick and Collins.
Frederick led the way with 26 points while hitting six 3-pointers. Collins dominated in the paint, scoring 24 points while collected 20 rebounds. She also had five steals, and four assists.
Knox Central led 27-22 at halftime before outscoring the Lady Mountain Lions, 40-26, in the second half.
Nadine Johnson led Pineville with 23 points while Ava Arnett added 15 points. Abby Jackson followed with a face-point scoring effort.
