After seeing their 10-game win streak get snapped just a few days ago, the Harlan County Black Bears bounced back in fine fashion with a convincing, 94-71, victory over Pineville.
The win improved Kyle Jones’ squad to 18-4, and kept the Black Bears unbeaten against regional teams at 6-0.
Trent Noah turned in a 35-point scoring effort while hitting four 3-pointers, and finishing 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
Harlan County led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter, and 43-32, at halftime before breaking the game open in the second half.
The Black Bears outscored the Mountain Lions, 51-39, during the game’s final 16 minutes.
Ten players scored in the win for Harlan County as Daniel Carmical joined Noah in double figures with 18 points after canning six 3-pointers. Maddox Huff added 14 points, and four 3-pointers while Reggie Cottrell finished with 10 points.
Sawyer Thompson led Pineville (12-8) with 24 points while Evan Biliter finished with 15 points. Ashton Moser added 13 points while Sam Caldwell scored 10 points.
