DUNK CITY WINS AGAIN: Green Dragons explode for 110 points during 32-point rout of Clay County

Harlan came out firing, and never stopped during its 110-78 blowout win over Clay County on Saturday.

The Green Dragons recovered from their loss to Harlan County earlier in the week by dominating the Tigers thanks to knocking down 20 3-pointers.

That’s right, 20 long range bombs.

The Tigers didn’t have answer, surrendering surrendering 106 points this past Monday before allowing 110 points five days later. Clay County’s has now lost by at least 30 points four times this season.

Glenn Gray’s squad had no answer for Harlan on Saturday. The Green Dragons built a 28-13 lead at the end of the first quarter while taking a 59-37 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

By the time the fourth quarter told around, Derrick Akal’s squad had a 86-64 edge.

Dylan Cox exploded for nine 3-pointers in the game, finishing with 27 points while Jae’dyn Gist also had 27 points. Kaleb McLendon totaled 20 points and five 3-pointers while Kyler McLendon had 17 points, and Will Austin finished with 11 points.

Landon Dezarn led the Tigers with 29 points while Ethan Kackson (17 points), Aiden Wagers (15 points), and Hayden Harris (11 points) followed.
