Jordan Muncy won a state wrestling championship today in the 107 weight class at the Kentucky Girls State Wrestling Tournament.
She pinned everyone on her way to the title. Muncy pinned Catherine Head from Bardstown in the finals in the second period.
“She was amazing today,” Bell County coach Ovie Canady said. “It’s a moment I’ll never forget. She worked so hard in the weight room and in the wrestling room earn this title.”
Muncy came in ranked seventh overall and pulled off two huge upsets. The first being against Sutton Fuller of Union County, Kentucky’s best wrestling program. The second being the top ranked and top seeded Head.
