Cats Take Down the Gators, Tournament Bid is Within Reach

The Wildcats have been on a roll as of late in SEC play. The conference momentum train doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon as Kentucky takes down Florida in Rupp Arena 72-67. The Wildcats now sit at 16-7 after winning their sixth straight conference game.

Just a few short weeks ago, the NCAA tournament felt like a dream scenario for this team as well as the big blue nation. However, things have changed significantly for John Calipari and his crew. Outside of a hiccup against Kansas last weekend, Kentucky has done everything necessary to bounce back from what had been a rocky first half of the season.

With that, there are now eight games left in the season for the Wildcats to pad their resume to the best of their ability. Out of the teams remaining Tennessee, and Auburn are still on the schedule and provide an opportunity to pick up potential quality wins. It won’t be easy, however, as both teams are fighting for seeding at this point of the season in their own right.

The Wildcats are in a good position to make the tournament, however, they realistically can’t afford to lose any more than one or two games at the most. That being said, the road will be tough but for Kentucky, it is doable. With that being said, it is time to buckle in big blue nation, the rest of this season is sure to be a wild ride.
