Harlan County’s Hannah Foster turns in state-runner up finish during the KYWCA Girls’ Wrestling State Tournament

Harlan County senior Hannah Foster capped a brilliant career off by turning in a state runner-up finish in the 114-pound division of the KYWCA Girls’ Wrestling State Tournament.

Foster turned in a stellar season for Harlan County, capturing titles in the 2022-23 Winner of the Centre Parkway Classic, the Apollo Lady Eagles Invitational, and the Harrison County Invitational.

“After a controversial 7-5 decision loss in the state finals, the No. 1 ranked 1 Foster finished with a record of 28-1 (28 pins),” Harlan County coach Blake Johnson said. “She is an incredibly driven young lady, and a model student-athlete. Not only successful as a wrestler, but has fantastic grades, attendance, and is a wonderful role model to her peers.”
