Summers’ 26 points lead Jackson County past Powell County

Jackson County got a much-needed win on Monday, outlasting Powell County with a 76-70 victory.

The Generals (15-10) were able to snap a three-game losing skid behind a balanced scoring attack.

Jackson County jumped out to a 23-7 lead and 41-28 at halftime before the Pirates rallied and took a 56-53 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Generals hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter as Tydus Summers scored eight of his game-high 26 points to lead Jackson County to the come from behind win.

Jude Lakes finished with 19 points while Carter Cunagin had 16 points. Andrew Gabbard finished with eight points while Keagan Ward added six points.
