Cov. Cath cruises past Clay County with 70-38 win

Clay County’s struggles continued on Saturday after dropping a 70-38 decision to No. 5 Covington Catholic.

The Tigers (12-14) are now 2-5 during their last seven games, three of those losses have been by at least 30 points.

Covington Catholic was coming off a loss to North Laurel from the night before, and took control of the game early while cruising to its 22nd win of the season.

Hayden Harris led Clay County with 15 points while Landon Dezarn added seven points.

The Tigers will be back in action Tuesday on the road against Middlesboro.
