After nearly beating Knox Central just a few days ago, the Jackson County Lady Generals responded with an impressive, 59-57, victory over Bell County on Thursday.
Abby Gilbert led the Lady Generals with 16 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists while Kenady Ward, who recorded her 1,000th rebound in the win, had eight points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists.
Madison Curry hit four 3-pointers, and finished with 12 points while Kylee Shannon recorded a double-double, finishing with 11 points, and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Generals led 16-13 after the first quarter, and 31-27 at halftime before taking a 47-43 edge into the fourth quarter.
Gracie Jo Wilder, and Mataya Ausmus led Bell County with 19 points while Wilder also finished with five rebounds. Lauren McGeorge had eight points while Kairi Lamb scored six points, and finished with 10 rebounds.
